The Story

From a hobby to a business

Hey! I'm Jessica Revels. I began photographing in the summer of 2018 when my horse, Roman, was laid up on stall rest. Starting off with a cheap $400 camera, I would go into the pasture at my barn and just shoot for hours, attend local horse shows and ask friends to be models. From there, my passion for equine photography grew into a full-blown business. I began my business while living in North Carolina, moved to Texas for 2 years, and most recently relocated to Virginia with my husband and our trio of 1 horse, 1 dog, and 3 cats. I have met so many amazing photographer friends and clients along the way and can't wait to continue doing what I love so people can look back on the memories created with the ones they love.

When I'm not busy photographing, you can find me riding and showing my personal horse, Luna. She's a 10 year old thoroughbred and we compete in beginner novice eventing. You can also find us (begrudgingly) dancing in the sand box doing dressage shows, and (happily) popping over colored sticks at jumper shows.

I really hit the lottery when it comes to my husband! He's a horse guy himself and grew up team roping and working cattle with his dad in Oklahoma. He then began mounted shooting in his teenage years. After being stationed overseas from 2021-2024, he's finally back stateside and ready to get back into it. You can find him being my "ears up" assistant at many shoots!
